Smokey's Scouts: Forest-Friendly Match 3 Game
Smokey's Scouts is a forest-friendly match 3 game that immerses players in the role of aspiring scouts. The game revolves around assisting Smokey in preventing wildfires by eliminating fire hazards during a hike. Along the way, players engage in mini-games to learn about Smokey's history, wildfire prevention, and safety measures. By completing tasks, players earn badges and bear tokens, the in-game currency that aids scouts in their training.
Inspired by Smokey Bear and the Mid Atlantic Forest Fire Protection Compact's mission, Smokey's Scouts aims to raise awareness about wildfire prevention and safety. Developed through a collaboration between Columbus College of Art & Design and the Mid Atlantic Forest Fire Protection Compact, with support from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the United States Forest Service, this game targets teens, young adults, and families to promote forest fire prevention and safety.
